Chargers News.

Though we're right in the middle of a great baseball season, which Brian is covering well, there's some early news regarding the Chargers and some major moves they've made to show that, in my opinion, this upcoming season and the 2009 season they're committed to putting the finest team on the field possible to win a Superbowl. First, they gave a huge price for any other team that might want Michael Turner for this upcoming season. This showed me that, though they could have gotten a few high round picks in next years draft, they opted for keeping him around to make an impact this season. He is a huge weapon as a decoy for LT, and on his own as a primary back. He will certainly be traded after this season as he will be a free agent and will be in high demand by several teams looking for a solid runningback. They also signed Brandon Manumaleuna to a 2 year deal, making the total numbr of current players signed through the 2009 season to 28. Manumaleuna has proven himself as a solid blocking and receiving TE and will be a huge weapon when Antonio Gates isn't on the field. The Chargers are STACKED!! Already looking forward to watching the Dawgs on Saturdays and the Chargers on Sundays this fall.
