There goes the Padres' chance at winning the West, or a wild card for that matter.
There's a reason he is being let go.
The reason is the Red Sox have surrendered. Padres need to get this guy, if not to help themselves, then to at least stop the Dodgers from acquiring him. I like the addition and think it could get the Pads over the hump.
